As we transition from spring into summer, “Co-Ords” are still hot.

The matching two-piece look is popular because it gives you the put-together look of a suit with a casual silhouette. From body-con skirts and tops to athletic wear, coordinating pieces have been around for decades in one form or another. Who made them popular again? None other than the Kardashians and their love of barely-there nudes and body-con silhouettes.

Before you write off this trend because of its Kardashian-related resurgence, check out how different bodies explore it. Regardless of who may have brought it back from the dead, many designers and fashionistas have breathed new life into the versatile idea. Modern-day to the disco era, pin-up girl to flower child, these coordinating pieces explore different cuts, different time periods, and different identities.

Check out these fashionistas from size 0-28 who show us how to love our bodies and this body-diverse trend.

3. The New Nude (and Squad Goals, too!)

UK model Shannon-Leigh Samuda rocks cropped athletic coordinates by NuNude, along with an array of models of various shapes and skin tones proving that there is no singular “nude.”

4. Floral Queen

Asjah shows off a gorgeous dark floral look. One of the great things about the piece, other than the playful ruffle, is the dark green base. When you think “dark floral,” lately it has been all about the black or navy blue background. This is a great alternative that gives a similar vibe.

5. Black on Black

If prints aren’t your thing, have no fear — black on black always coordinates and reads as chic and put together. Kiki’s gorgeous three-piece look is a perfect example. Keep it fashion-forward with modern cuts like this. You'll remain looking cutting edge rather than playing it safe.

6. Sacri-licious Looks

Okay, it may be a stretch, but I’m moved to say it: the world is a better place because this ridiculously awesome stained glass two-piece by Black Milk exists. A little sacrilegious, but Instagrammer Van looks incredible. Now, can we please have this in size fat?

7. Summer Babes

Francis Dive is the height of summer babe in this gorgeous, playfully flirty golden coordinating set. How could you look at this woman in this outfit and not smile?

8. Cropped Stripes

Valerie Eguavoera rocks a bold matching set from Elvi Clothing. Paired perfectly with chunky white sandals, this look is perfect for work or play. Feeling brave? Try the top open with a black or white bralette, crop, or tube top and matching chunky heel.

9. Keeping It Cool

So often we associate the bohemian look with being dominated head to toe in black, but white can leave a strong impression, as well. Boho model Quigley shows us how to make a pair of drawstring linen shorts and button up top look chic rather than pajama-like.

10. Hits Of Sunshine

How amazingly cute and wearable is this? Dominique rocks a gorgeous sunny yellow co-ord look from Rebdolls that is perfect for keeping it simple and chic or as the base for bold accessories. For a modern look, pair it with Pantone’s 2017 Color of the Year, Greenery. Take it back a few decades with chunky turquoise or carnelian jewelry.

11. Graphic Floral

Aussie ‘Grammer Jayda Beau rocks the cutest co-ord by City Chic. Pairing a pastel pink with black and white, they create a modern, “graphic” floral, perfect for spring and summer. Embolden the look a bit with yellow accessories or dial it back by keeping them black and white.

12. Modern Tie-Dye

Curve model Elle Michelle rocks the cutest modern tie-dye co-ords at Coachella. Perfectly accessorized by a sheer duster, fringed purse, and sandals, Elle Michelle looks ready for any casual daytime summer shindig.

15. Summer Goddess

Canadian plus-size model and blogger Nakitende Esther is a goddess in a two-piece off-the-shoulder look that is perfect poolside or anywhere else. This beautiful breezy sheer fabric is all things summer!

16. Nautical By Nature

Joy shows off a gorgeous striped coordinating set that is feminine and easy to wear — two things that you don’t often associate with stripes. The blue and white are evocative of nautical fashions but soft enough that the look isn’t blasting yacht rock from a mile away.
