Why do we have a hard time with boundaries? Many of us, especially women, were raised to be people-pleasers and caregivers.

My friends with kids seem to think I'm fair game for blow-by-blow plays about the tiniest details of their day for hours at a time.

What terrible thing is my mother going to say to my aunt about her internet boyfriend who steals chicken from my grandparents’ garage freezer in the middle of the night?

The truth was that going to a group therapy session once a week for eight weeks sounded like a nightmare. In the end, I'm so glad I went!

So my ask to all of the people out there who are married, engaged, or in a relationship, please stop asking us single people to do these four things.

My husband and I are good friends with another couple. We love them dearly, but they have no concept of time. Our friends are always late!
