Watch this! How Not to Get Raped: Bite Like a Psychotic Cat, Wear Jumpsuits, Don't Make Eye Contact (and other Helpful Advice)

Did you know that wearing a ponytail increases the chances you'll get raped? And don't you DARE traipse around a short skirt!

Ahhhh, the ever-useful and ever-misogynistic advice to help young women avoid sexual assault. Chances are, you've been forced to hear this garbage a zillion times. And yes, it's usually said by someone with good intentions but let's get this straight: unless you've uttered the words "I want to have my breasts fondled!" or "Slap my ass!" or "Put your penis inside me!" none – and we mean NONE – of those things should be happening to your body. I don't care how bouncy your pony-tail is. Sexual assault is always the fault of the rapist, not the victim.

Until our progressive ideals catch up with much of our backwater brethren's beliefs, check out this hilarious video mocking the "advice" we've all received at one point or another. In just three minutes you'll learn the value of short hair, jump-suits, and peeing on yourself!

But for actual, real advice to help victims, check out organizations such as RAINN or NSVRC.

After all, "being in college, or just about anywhere, is dangerous."
