Mexico's Muy Caliente Sexo...and Other Nookie Revelations From Around the World

Recently, we had the distinct privilege of discussing the various cultural perceptions of sexual "morality" throughout the world. Well guess what? Bigger and juicier revelations have followed! Behold: the global survey that assesses sex lives everywhere.

Durex conducted two rigorous surveys, encompassing the entire globe, to get an understanding of how sex lives differ by region and culture. Surprisingly, the countries that topped our previous scale of risque (we're lookin' at you, Czech Republic and France) were statistically unimpressive. Instead, we now must encourage you to go to Mexico. And often.

Let's back up a bit. First of all, not every country oozes sex positivity. When asked about sexual satisfaction (with possible answers "dissatisfied," "neutral" or "satisfied"), most countries boasted a higher percentage of "satisfied" than "dissatisfied." All except Japan, that is. The portion of people who are unhappy with their sex lives here is nearly double those who are content. In fact, just 10% of Japanese citizens report having an "exciting" sex life. Just to compare, the second worst score in this area was 32% (Hong Kong). Why? Unfortunately, there are no concrete explanations.

On a brighter note, Mexico is rocking the sexual satisfaction thing. Not only did nearly 80% of its citizens confess to having an "exciting" sex life, but a damn good 88% report reported feeling respected during the naughty act. Awwww!

Don't live in Mexico? Don't fret: the U.S. (as well as Australia, Canada and Russia) have a higher orgasm rate than Mexico anyway. Again, we're not sure why—but hey, we're not complaining!
