Bio

Barbara earned a bachelor's degree in special education from the University of Texas at Austin in 1970, a master's degree in clinical social work from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1978, completed a two-year postgraduate program in marriage and family therapy at the Southwest Family Institute in 1984, completed training as a mediator, hypnotherapist, mental health professional in collaborative law and training and certification as a sex therapist from AASECT (American Association for Sex Educators, Counselors and Therapists) in 2012. She is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW) and licensed marriage and family therapist (LMFT). She hosted a radio talk show entitled, "Family Values" in Dallas, Texas and studied with John Gray, author of Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.
