Jaleen Grove, Ph.D., is an illustration historian and co-editor of the forthcoming A History of Illustration, the first global survey of the field (). Grove also serves as Associate Editor of the Journal of Illustration, and as Scholar-in-Residence of the Visual Literacy Foundation of Canada. She is currently based in Hamilton, Ontario, where she maintains a studio practice alongside her research and writing.
For over 100 years the field has consistently suffered from men saying that women have an equal shot at success as illustrators. History says otherwise.
