Sniff! 1 Million Facebookers Rally for Birthday of Boy with Asperger's Syndrome

Just when you start to think the world is cold and bleak, a story like this comes along and you want to start hugging strangers in the street.

Here's the gist of this tale that's gone viral: A good-hearted mom with a 10-year-old son who has Asperger's syndrome decided to start a Facebook page for his upcoming birthday on March 9, so people could send nice messages and wishes because he feels so isolated and lonely at school. His mother even explained that dear, sweet bespeckled Colin "eats lunch in the office every day because no one will let him sit with them."

With his 11th birthday just around the corner, Colin told her to skip it; there was no one to invite.

Too bad the Facebook page has gotten more than ONE MILLION LIKES and an outpouring of fist-pumpin' support – the world has gone bonanza for this kid's birthday. People have even started snail-mailing cards and gifts and rumor has it the Harlem Globetrotters are even getting in on the love; they're going to throw him a big 'ol bash at one of their games in April.

Wanna get in on the fun and make Colin's birthday the most epic of all time?!

Send a note, send a balloon, send a puppy (!) send a smile to:

Colin

Ugh, it's so awkward to joy-weep in public!
