Michael Moore Launches "We Are All Muslim" Campaign At Trump Tower

Filmmaker and activist Michael Moore launched a campaign against racism and Islamophobia yesterday by holding a sign that proclaimed "We Are All Muslim" in front of Trump Tower.

In a Facebook post introducing the campaign, Moore harshly criticized Donald Trump's comments about Muslims, accusing him of being afraid of the "bogeyman." "Like many other angry white guys, you are frightened by a bogeyman who is out to get you. That bogeyman, in your mind, are all Muslims. Not just the ones who have killed, but ALL MUSLIMS," wrote Moore.

By demonizing millions of Muslims for the actions of the few, and allowing fear to overrule compassion, Moore argued that Trump has lost sight of what it means to be an American. We are all humans, first and foremost, and that is the message Moore's #WeAreAllMuslim seeks to spread.

Moore went on to suggest that Trump put himself in a timeout and leave running the country to someone with strength and compassion. You need water for that burn, Trump?

Moore urged supporters to snap pictures with their own "We Are All Muslim" signs and post them to social media using the hash tag #WeAreAllMuslim
