"If I were to choose anyone to be my mentor, it would be any woman who's been undermined and undervalued and risen above it. The young woman I bought something from, she taught herself how to sew in the last three years and now she's a budding entrepreneur. People who push through the challenges that we all face –– a lot of the women I've met along the way in my cancer journey. And dogs! Absolutely inspiring –– because they're just so unconditional. This is Birch [looks at her dog] He's been so fun this whole time –– he's been wanting to meet every dog, greet every dog. He was my boyfriend's dog, the love of my life's best friend for many years. I sort of became the stepmom after my dog died. He's quite a character."
