What a time to be alive and a Black woman in 2016. This year we’ve seen some of the biggest “call to action” campaigns for Black women, from Beyonce’s Formation to #Blackgirlmagic. Right now Black women as a whole are being represented like never before — as beautiful, inspiring and radiant queens.

Miami police officers have announced they will boycott Beyoncé​’s Formation tour, possibly going so far as refusing to sign up to staff the Spring show in Miami. The spokesman for the Miami Fraternal Order of Police says Beyoncé’s halftime performance “shows how she does not support law enforcement.”

She unleashed a whole new level of #blackgirlmagic that I did not even realize I needed. And honey, if I didn't realize I needed it, well then hell, you know the world just wasn’t ready.

Beyonce just might be a Black Bill Gates in the making. Slay.
