In today's People Who Make 73 Look Easy, Aretha Franklin. Performing at the Kennedy Center last night, in a tribute to Carole King, Aretha brought down the damn house. By which I mean she owned that stage. By which I mean before Queen Bey, there was The Queen. I woke up to a flurry of videos this morning and laid in my bed and cried like a baby listening to this powerhouse of a woman.
Aretha has been commanding the stage since before I was born. And I'm old guys.
